Senator Michael Bamidele is the Deputy Leader of the Senate.
Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, popularly known as MOB, is a distinguished Nigerian lawyer, politician, and public servant. Born on July 24, 1963, in Ipoti-Ekiti, Ekiti State, he has built a remarkable career in law and politics. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Benin and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the Franklin Pierce Law Center in the United States.
Bamidele began his political journey as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and later served as a Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2011, representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency. In 2019, he was elected to the Senate, representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, and was re-elected in 2023.
As a seasoned legislator, Senator Bamidele has been a vocal advocate for good governance, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. In the 10th Senate, he serves as the Majority Leader, playing a pivotal role in shaping legislative agendas and fostering bipartisan collaboration.
